3. How we use your data

  • Respond to enquiries — call you back, answer questions and recommend facade systems.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals — review drawings, plan site visits and estimate costs.
  • Deliver projects — design, engineering, fabrication, installation, handover and after-sales support.
  • Run our business — invoicing, record-keeping and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • Improve our website — understand which pages are useful and fix technical problems.
  • Keep in touch — share project updates or relevant offerings, only where you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that significantly affect you.

4. Consent and legal grounds

We process your personal data on one of these grounds under the DPDP Act:

  • Consent — when you submit an enquiry form, message or call us, you agree to us using your details for the purposes described here. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate uses — where you have voluntarily given us your data for a specific purpose, such as requesting a quote, and have not said you object to its use for that purpose.
  • Legal obligations — where we must keep or share data to comply with law, such as tax and accounting rules or a lawful request from an authority.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, but we may then be unable to respond to your enquiry or continue a project.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only when needed, and only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our website and business — for example website hosting, email, form and CRM tools, and IT support. They may process data only on our instructions.
  • Project partners such as structural engineers, fabrication and installation teams, logistics providers and site contractors — only the details needed for your project.
  • Communication platforms such as WhatsApp (Meta) and email providers, when you choose to contact us through them. Their own privacy policies also apply.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to our auditors, accountants and lawyers.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we transfer data only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.

6. Cookies and third-party services

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly and to understand how it is used.

  • Essential cookies — needed for the site and forms to work, including security and spam protection.
  • Analytics cookies — if enabled, tools such as Google Analytics help us see which pages are visited, using aggregated data.
  • Embedded content — Google Maps on our contact page and Google Fonts load content from Google, which may receive your IP address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop some parts of the site from working.

7. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries that don’t become projects — kept for up to 2 years from our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Project and client records — kept for as long as needed for warranty, support and legal purposes, including 8 years for tax and accounting records.
  • Website and server logs — kept for at least 1 year, as required under the DPDP Rules, 2025, and then deleted.

When we no longer need your data, we delete it securely or make it anonymous. Where the DPDP Rules require, we will notify you at least 48 hours before deletion.

8. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls so only authorised staff can see enquiry data, secure password practices and backups.

No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected individuals and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act and Rules.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correct, complete or update data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase your data where it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email info@thefacadeexperts.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask you to verify your identity, for example using the phone number or email you contacted us from. To stop marketing messages, simply reply “STOP” or tell us on any channel.
